Senior forward Babacar Faye committed to the University of Utah Saturday, via Matt Zenitz on X, rejoining fellow former Hilltopper, Don McHenry, who committed to the Utes just five days earlier.
Before suffering a season-ending injury against Murray State on Dec 14, Faye led the team in rebounds, averaging 7.8 per game, while also providing offensive production in the paint, averaging 15.2 points per game.
Faye played just 10 games during the 2024-25 season, missing the conference slate entirely. In 2023-24, Faye appeared in all 34 games of the Hilltoppers’ Conference USA Championship-winning campaign.
Faye and McHenry are headed to a Utes team that went 16-17 in 2024-25 and 8-12 in conference, landing them 11th in the Big 12.
